Hi Susan,

Love this piece! I’m a female founder in the CPG space, and I’m finding that institutional VC is so deep in the B2B AI whirlpool that there’s very little appetite to explore the opportunities in the “primordial soup” outside of that vertical.

I actually think some of the most exciting opportunities are emerging in the physical world where visionary, non-technical founders can finally build sophisticated products that meet the moment and the needs of the communities they belong to.

I’m a mom building Analog Kids, a family-focused intentional tech startup on a mission to create healthy alternatives to screen-based childhoods that prioritize human connection and independence.

Our first hardware product, YapYap, is currently in development. It’s a VoIP picture speed-dial phone for pre-readers that lets children independently call trusted friends and family with one button. Using interchangeable picture cards, kids can also build their own network of trusted relationships by sharing and collecting cards. Think Yoto meets Tin Can.

Would love to share more if you’re open to it!
